Our Carlisle Brass hinges recommendations are intended for sterner stuff. Manufactured in phosphor bronze to encourage extreme hard wear, they can be used both internally and externally, though they will need a little TLC if used on exposed external doors. Lubrication and cleaning is essential. The designs with ball bearings and washers are specifically for the hanging of heavy doors that would grind ordinary hinges away in no time.
